Richard & Betty

I love photographing all of my clients, but this session was particularly sweet for me.

These are my grandparents. I have so many good memories of time spent with them - particularly when I was a small child and they would keep me and my sister. My grandpa shares my passion for music and worked as a marching band and concert band director when he was younger. My grandma shares my love of photography and has always encouraged creativity in me and my sister.

I don't remember a time Grandma didn't have a camera. She loves taking pictures of both people and nature. When I got my own camera, Grandma always showed the proper enthusiasm for my photos when I would show them to her.

I have a vivid memory of her taking me and my sister to the duck pond one rainy day right after the rain let up. She knew the ducks would be having the time of their lives. My sister and I had a great time with our little cameras photographing those ducks.

I'm very thankful to have had such encouraging grandparents!

I so enjoyed getting to photograph them over at Adair Park in Fountain City. It was a beautiful fall day in Knoxville and I can't imagine a better way to have spent it! My mom was able to hop in a few photos as well!
